I was expecting this book to explain where the “western” way of thinking comes from but instead it was a tedious explanation of early Greek mythology and early religion. I was hoping it would be a more objective look at where a large group of people get their way of thinking from, but it covers the religious of the Western mind and not all.
I gave up after the second chapter as it was difficult to follow. A background knowledge of ancient gods and stories would be helpful, and an interest in such subjects would make the book more enjoyable. Maybe later chapters get to the point but I lost patience.
